The pearl of Jura
Our accommodations are located in the center of Champagnole, a charming and dynamic little town of 8,000 inhabitants. Built on the right bank of the Ain at an altitude of 540 m and at the foot of Mont Rivel, it is in the very heart of the Jura. With an active city center rich in quality shops as well as commercial areas on the immediate outskirts, this human-sized town wants for nothing, and its excellent geographical location as well as its economic dynamism make it very pleasant to live in. Champagnole, rightly named "the pearl of the Jura", also bears the title of capital of the first Jura plateaus.
It is located in the center of many iconic tourist sites, to the delight of young and old (and whether they are young or old!). The town surroundings constitute a natural patchwork, with the particular green of the pastures, the forests of Fresse and Joux, the blue of the meanders of the rivers of Ain, Londaine and the touch of red for the color of the typical roofs.
Champagnole was once a city that was equally well known for its many industries such as woodworking and steelmaking with its mills and forges, but also for its gastronomy, particularly the charcuterie, cheeses and honey. The latter endures to this day!
We have concluded partnerships with some of the best merchants in town, who will give you a 10% discount on presentation of your "Logis39" card!
Below you will find several official links of the city and the region, useful for general tourism or for planning your visits.
